About Rainbow Nursery School
We Are Committed to Innovative Early Learning and Kindergarten Preparation. The Rainbow Nursery School offers a child-centered approach where social development and academic preparation are emphasized for early learners and preschool boys and girls. Through formal and self-directed activities, the School provides a rich and balanced environment where students are encouraged to take risks in their learning and assume responsibility for themselves at work and play. Using literature, fine and large-muscle challenges, music, field trips, creative experimentation, art, and activities in other areas, our children have the opportunity to discover and explore! The Rainbow School maintains a thirty four year commitment to structured inquiry and play as an ideal vehicle for early learning. Our engaging curriculum exceeds
Kindergarten Readiness Standards of New York State. It provides for the development of each child through social, physical, cultural, academic, and spiritual support. For the 2009-10 school year we have developed a new program which targets all areas of intelligence and early childhood development. And as always, we pledge to provide your child with at least 15 minutes of outdoor play each school day, except in the event of inclement weather!
